Ron Sheldon

Ron Sheldon is a Senior Adviser to bd-capital and sits on the firm's Investment Advisory Committee.

Ron is a former Managing Director and Investment Committee member of Advent International.  He joined Advent in 1994 and has over 40 years of private equity experience.  While at Advent he led, co-led or had significant involvement in 12 deals, including Priory, Domestic & General, Oxea, Poundland, HT Troplast and Vinnolit. Ron served on Advent’s Western European Investment Advisory Committee for 14 years.  

Prior to Advent, Ron worked for Trinity Capital Partners, a venture firm he co-founded in 1984 to focus on investments in the healthcare and environmental sectors. Previously he spent 12 years with 3i, focusing on technology-related investments, and before that he worked for Tansley Witt, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
