Richard Learwood is a member of the bd-capital Operator's Club, and sits on the Boards of Symprove and Bonusan.
Richard spent nearly 30 years at Procter & Gamble where he was a member of the global consumer healthcare senior leadership team.
During his time at P&G, Richard became a proven brand strategist, architect and marketing capability builder in healthcare and consumer goods and developed extensive M&A experience.
Richard's skillset combines brand building capability from FMCG with consumer healthcare expertise. He has extensive experience in brand rejuvenation, M&A, joint ventures, new product development, international expansion and Direct to Consumer (D2C) ecommerce.
At P&G he led the marketing function for P&G's Join Ventures with Teva Pharmaceuticals and Swisse Vitamins, and led the successful acquisition and integration of Merck's Consumer Healthcare brands. His leadership roles included franchise leader for Vicks, the global #1 Cough & Cold brand, the P&G VMS (Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements) portfolio and Neurobio(Rx).
Outside of work Richard has guest lectured at Imperial College Business School and Cranfield School of Management, and is the owner of The Cookie Cafe, the highest altitude restaurant in the Portes du Soleil ski area.
