David Johnston is a Founding Member of the bd-capital Operator's Club, and is the Chair of Symprove and TLC Worldwide.
David has a strong track record and expertise across FMCG, marketing services, data & analytics and data monetisation. Until recently, he was Group CEO of AIMIA, a global loyalty and customer data business based in Canada. Prior to the CEO role, David was Group COO and before that was President and CEO of the EMEA business (more commonly known as Nectar).
Prior to AIMIA, David spent just under 20 years in the FMCG industry. Having started his career at Bass plc in the UK, he moved to Pepsico where he spent 13 years in a range of senior marketing and general management roles. He was Brand Director for Pepsi in all markets outside North America and ran beverage marketing in South America and then in Europe. He also worked on a number of significant M&A projects, ran juice R&D in Europe and was GM for the Quaker/Tropicana business in the UK.
