New Team Member: Juan Riva de Aldama

bd-capital is pleased to announce that Juan Riva de Aldama has joined the firm’s Operators Club, further strengthening our network of senior executives with deep expertise in technology, data-driven services, and international business transformation.

Juan brings more than two decades of experience leading and advising companies across Europe and Latin America. He has held senior roles in both founder-led businesses and global corporations, working extensively in sectors where digital infrastructure, analytics, and commercial execution play a central role.

Juan has collaborated with bd-capital over several years, most notably through his role as a Non-Executive Board Member at Netex Learning, a digital education company. He has also provided targeted commercial input during bd-capital’s early diligence work on Taptap Digital. More broadly, Juan has advised multiple technology and data-driven businesses expanding across Southern Europe, Latin America, and Africa, with a focus on aligning product strategy, data capabilities, and go-to-market execution.

Earlier in his career Juan held leadership roles at multinational groups in sectors including software, digital media, and telecommunications, where he supported corporate transformation programmes and technology-enabled operating model shifts. Throughout these roles he has cultivated a robust ability to inform and execute on data-driven decisions – experience that is increasingly relevant as AI tools and automation reshape how technology-enabled businesses operate and commercialise.

Juan also serves on several boards and advisory bodies within Spain’s technology and digital ecosystem, where he contributes to sector initiatives related to digitalisation and emerging technologies.

Juan joins our expanding team in Madrid alongside existing Operators Club member Francesc Casabella.

We are delighted to welcome Juan formally into the Operators Club and look forward to his continued contributions across the bd-capital portfolio.
