Alejo Vidal-Quadras is a Partner and Head of Southern Europe at bd-capital.
Alejo sits on the Boards of TAPTAP Digital, Rakit Group and Netex Learning.
Alejo was previously Head of KKR in Spain. He joined KKR in 2014 and was responsible for developing and supporting KKR's investment platforms in Spain across Private Equity, Credit (Direct Lending, Special Situations and Principal Finance), Infrastructure and Real Estate.
During his time at KKR in Madrid, KKR invested over $3bn in Spain. Alejo worked on the equity investments in Telepizza, Hipoges and Saba. He sat on the Board of Directors at Telepizza and Hipoges and was Chairman of the Board of Directors at Cementos Balboa and Papresa. Alejo also sat on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Private Equity Association.
Prior to KKR, Alejo was Head of 3i Spain. Over a nine year tenure, he worked on Private Equity investments across Iberia and also worked on a number of opportunities across Europe. He participated on the Board of Directors of 6 investments.
At KKR and 3i, Alejo invested across several sectors including Healthcare, Consumer & Retail, Services and Industrials.
Prior to 3i, Alejo worked at Rothschild, providing M&A advisory services.
Alejo holds a combined Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and M.B.A. at ESADE in Barcelona as well as a Master in Management CEMS at London School of Economics and HEC Paris. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Catalan.
